Available Positions
Field Technician
Technicians are required to travel to various commercial and highway projects in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Here, they will perform construction materials testing and inspection on earthwork, concrete, and HMAC. Construction experience is preferred but not required as technicians are trained in-house and certified to perform the required tests. This position requires professionalism and great communication skills to document results and distribute them to the client.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Safety Oriented
- Perform nuclear field densities of soil.
- Test fresh concrete for temperature, slump, and air content.
- Cut cores in concrete and HMAC.
- Observe reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement.
- Prepare field reports with accurate locations and results
- Communicate with the field manager and project personnel.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
Level IA/IB Technician
Technicians travel to various plants and highway construction projects in San Antonio and Austin, Texas to perform QC/QA tests on HMAC. Construction experience is preferred but not required as technicians are trained in-house and certified to perform the required tests. This position requires professionalism and great communication skills to document results and distribute them to the client. Overnight travel is required.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Safety Oriented
- Perform laboratory tests on HMAC as it is produced to ensure it meets project specifications.
- Monitor and perform field tests on the HMAC as it is laid to ensure it meets project specifications.
- Prepare field reports with accurate locations and results.
- Communicate with supervisors and project personnel.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Excel
Construction Inspector
Inspectors are assigned to various highway projects in San Antonio and Austin, Texas to oversee the construction of roadways, bridges and buildings. Inspectors are responsible for reading plans and ensuring the project is built in accordance with the plans and specifications. This position requires professionalism and great communication skills to document project progress and keep the project team up to date.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Safety Oriented
- Ensure construction activities are built to the project plans and specs.
- Document daily progress and payment items.
- Perform SW3P and TCP inspections.
- Perform construction materials testing as required.
- Attend project meetings.
- Communicate with project manager and Contractor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
- Inspection experience
