Description:The San Antonio International Airport (SAT), one of the nation’s most rapidly-expanding medium-sized airports, has committed to meeting the increasing demands of global air travel in the Central Texas area. The Terminal Development Program (TDP), the cornerstone of the City’s capital improvements plan, is the result of a multi-year collaboration to address these increasing demands. The TDP is estimated to total $2.8 billion over its lifespan and includes the construction of a new terminal and multiple enabling projects such as a new garage, expanded access roadways, and the renovation of selected facilities on the airport campus. The new terminal is slated to open in 2028 and will include over 800,000 square feet of terminal space, 29,000 square feet of club space, and 35,700 square feet of concessions space. It includes 17 additional gates and will feature enhanced and accessible passenger amenities which will guide development over the next 20 years.
